Hawaii 2012

The Netdocs boys had to go to Honolulu for Business and so us wives thought we are so coming on this trip. They didn't get much of a say. The Murdock family were so great to set us up with such a great place to stay. We loved every second of our trip and feel very spoiled. Welcome to Ko 'Olina. Our first night after a great day playing on the beach.
This is a hidden little beach that Jude loved cause there was some water trapped up top of some high rocks in a sandy/rocky beach that had little tiny fish and crabs and was only a few inches deep. He would play here the whole time if he had his way.
This isn't going to help people stop calling Jude a girl but it's so cute! I love the rock in hand. He carried this around for a whole evening.
Beachin it!
We spent a day on the North Shore which is my favorite. We had to hit pounders. It is a must and always lives up to it's name by pounding us into the beach when body surfing. Jude and I took a stroll up on the cliffs above the beach as well. He is a natural born hiker. He loves it.
Cutest beach bums cruising around Haleiwa.
Trying to stay cool with a slushy at the swap meet. We finally couldn't stand to leave him in his stroller. It was so so hot and he always has a party on Dad's shoulders.
Jude decided he would wake up every morning at 6:30 am and get the party started. We took a morning walk to kill the time before it was beach time.
We took a quick tour of the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The kids loved the animals and I think this is where Jude decided Nixon is the coolest kid on the planet.
We of coarse had to poke our heads out onto Waikiki and see Diamond head.
We were so lucky the Murdock family again let us use their wheels. Jude's Favorite was the Golf cart. He would usually sit in between Marc and I and barely move a muscle. Just takin it all in.
I think this was the kids favorite pool, next to the hot tub. They loved to play in the rocks and they were a lot easier to clean up then the sand, but they still got everywhere. All part of the fun!!
Marc playin with the kids. Mommies takin a breather. :)

playing around town and in the sunshine

This little boy loves to be outside. So we have spent a bunch of time outside and it has gotten so warm we have flocked to any water we can find. Which is one of Jude's favorite things. He could through rocks in the water for hours. I love that it keeps him so busy too.

Easter Weekend

We had a great weekend. It is always so fun when Daddy doesn't have to go to work and we can play all day. Jude has such gracious grandparents that do so so much for him. We had a great time at Grandma Pat's this year, She works so hard to give it all away. Grandma Duncan made sure Jude felt loved and hooked him up big time as well. No pics of those festivities though. :( Sorry. Thanks for everything Grandma's and Grandpa!! We love you guys.

Friday we made some Easter cupcakes. Jude approved!

We had a great time playing at City Creek.

Finding his Easter basket. The Easter bunny also left jelly beans all over. It was a hard concept to grasp why not to eat them all, instead of placing them in a bowl for later, but he finally got it.

Waiting for Dad to hurry up already with the bubbles

He loves basketball. He loves to put the ball through the hoop. Such a cutie!!

Party at Grandma's in his new Easter outfit that he'll have plenty of time to grow into. It's huge!

The hunt!!!

Dove right into the candy. He had to fight Daddy a little bit for the goods. They both won.

Who is 18 months!

My busy little bee is the big 18 months old. I cannot believe it. He doesn't bare any resemblance to that teeny tiny preemie that we fell head over heels for. He's this curious, adventurous, loving little boy. We just adore him. I also want to quickly note that we are currently keeping a close eye on Jude's front tooth. He fell face first and nailed it on the hard road out front of our house and his tooth has been loose. It is feeling pretty solid again but there is a chance it can bruise and go dark. So we are just crossing our fingers and watching it.

Jude's likes right now:
Anything outside is the greatest, rain or shine this boy wants to be outside. He and Sundance will stand at the door and try to get out until I let them.
Baby Einsteins he loves these short films. The ones with animals are his favorite.
Still loves animal sounds
Music class, loves to sing songs and act them out.
Bike rides
Vacuuming
Books, brings them to us one at a time and plops into our laps to be read to.

Dislikes right now:
Getting dressed or undressed
Eating (unless it's candy or gum) :)

His stats are:
Height: 33". 90%
Weight: 21lbs 2 oz 7%
Head circ.18.5 40%

Pretending to be a preemie. He found his old nasal cannula and had fun playing with it for awhile.

I can usually get a lot done with Jude and Sundance thinking they are running a muck outside but safe on our deck. He'll play out here for a good amount of time.

Another thing he just LOVES is water. We went up to City Creek (which is amazing) and I will always have to make sure he has spare clothes on him. He flocks to water. The picture he is pulling on his shirt is how he signs "please" He is trying to get me to lift him to play in the water.

He also loves the swings. Which is nice cause it's easy to keep an eye on him and a bummer at the same time cause I want him to go burn some energy. I think he loves it so much cause I think he feels pretty cool. He often puts his arm behind and checks out the other toddlers like "Sup"

He also loves going to hikes and chillin in his backpack. I love the age where they take you by the finger to go on an adventure with you. He will also grab any one's finger to try to get them to take him outside. He'll go around the room from person to person until he gets someone willing to take him outside. He doesn't care who.

Ali and I took the kiddies to Thanksgiving point petting zoo while the hubbies were gone again last week and they had a lot of fun. This is a picture of Jude trying to share his Veggies with Nyla, who is not at all interested in them.

One more thing this boy just loves.... His blankie. Makes everything so much better. He'll haul it all over. He'll wrap it around his thumb and rub it on the inside of his opposite palm or rub it on his cheek. He also rolls it into a ball and lays on it. Very snugly with his blankie.
