We are having such strange weather. One day it is 70 degrees outside, the next snowing, the next 60.... I'm not complaining though. Daddy has been gone on the longest business trip ever to Australia, so it's been nice to have nice weather to play outside and then snow definitely killed some time sledding.
There are a few silly things that Jude says to me that I have had the foresight to write down, cause otherwise I don't remember. So here is just a random list of goofy things he has said lately.
One day in his Hulk costume he was checking out his padded muscles and patting them and he says to me "I've got pretty nice oobs." (oobs are what he calls boobs) He just said it super casual and matter of fact. I was rolling on the ground.
When we were in Disneyland a few weeks ago we were talking him into going in the haunted house (which ended up being his favorite and he still talks about it every day) He said to Daddy, "See how scared I am!" and put both fists in the air and tried to shiver and shake to get us to believe him.
A few months ago we were shopping at Home Depot and a tall, very thin elderly man came walking passed and Jude just gasped, pointed and said, "Mommy, a skeleton." over and over. Luckily the elderly are also have a hard time hearing.
Marc grew up doing something called "skin the cat" (I think it was skin the kitty in their house but Marc has always called it skin the cat here so that's how I know it.) Marc will pants Jude and spank his cute nakey bum and shout "skin the cat" Jude loves this game and tries to get Daddy back and it's a fun playful thing they do. Well one day I was sitting on the floor playing with Jude and he walked up to me and looked me in the eyes and said "Skin the cat!" and smacked me right across the face. I was so stunned. I just laughed and explained to Jude that's not how the game works
The other day my sister was asking Jude were the baby was and he was telling her that it is in my tummy and then he so sweetly added, "he's cooking."
The other day Jude and I were snuggling and he was really extra cuddly and sweet and he said to me, "My heart feels warm." I about died. I also the other day got the opposite. He was taking his sweet time walking home from the park and was wondering off and just being a knot head, so I finally just grabbed his wrist and was just trying to keep him with me. I wasn't even frustrated or upset and he asked me to let go and promised to keep up and when I let go he told me that it hurt his heart. I about died.
Today we went to a new park and then walked off to another park a couple blocks away. (Cause this is what you do when Daddy is out of town for almost two weeks) When it was time to leave and head back to the car he was trying to hard to convince me that he could stay there and play while I ran to get the car. I tried to explain to him that a bad guy might come and steal him. And he looked around then put his hand up and said "I made sure there are no bad guys." Nice try bud.
One more lil tid bit about you. You talk in your sleep like crazy. Every time we go on vacation you wake us up saying silly things or singing funny songs in your sleep. As a matter of fact I can hear you sleep talking in the other room while I work on the blog. Such a goof. We just love you and your silly personality. So glad you are ours.
Shocked and thrilled to wake up to snow the other day.
He is obsessed with the door bell.
Does Halloween candy ever go away??
We had the most beautiful day the other day. I could not stop taking pictures.
Back at home enjoying lunch. He has a serious love for tomatoes and pistachios. I also love this pic cause he ALWAYS crosses his ankles.
Hardly ever naps these days and the other day he passed out on me and I was in heaven.
Starting to get so imaginative. He lately loves to pretend he's a dog. Like to pretend to drink and eat out of pretend dog bowls and will lick my face and pant. He will kick Sundance out of her beds and lately when we walk her, he has to be on a leash as well. Which is secretly really nice.
We love to go for walks behind our house. Feels like we're going to the mountain without leaving our house. We try to avoid it in the fall cause Mommy is a basket case about rattle snakes.
What childhood would be complete without spending some good time in a leaf pile and smelling like Autumn.
Busted out some old clothes. He couldn't figure out why I was freaking out over his old preemie clothes that were too big for him at one time. This pumpkin is his first Halloween costume from build-a-bear.
Just that face is my favorite thing in the world.
Child pictures of me are pretty rare as they are for the youngest children in big families but I came across this the other day and I could not believe how much Jude looks like me. Sorry buddy, but at least you have two eye brows. Thank Daddy for that.
Killing time at the Children's museum. Is this place always packed? Do they ever have a slow time???
Another snowy morning
I mean REALLY?!? He's too cute! And has the need for speed. He's a nutcase. The little hill in our backyard wasn't enough so he would bail out half way through and roll and flip and slide, like Sulley in Monsters Inc is what he says. Leave it to little boys to always take it up a notch or two.
He cute little preschool group.
The other day I came down and found him like this. He is obsessed with nuts. Particularly pistachios.
Working on his smile. He always sticks his tongue out when I ask him to smile. I was trying to teach him just teeth, I'm not sure which is better??? :)
