July 2015

The Fourth of July and trip to Utah

This was our first fourth of July without family. It was super low key and relaxing. We had such a good time spending it in our new little town. We drove our car down to the beach early that day and laid out blankets to watch the fireworks. Then later that day we rode our bikes down to the beach and explored and played around while we waited for the spectacular firework display over the water. It was so different then our previous Fourth's and it was a lot of fun to do something different and spend a fourth on the ocean, but we could't help but miss our families.

There is a fun little French bakery we discovered at North Beach. It was as yummy as the calories were high.

Ummmm... Just cause he's a nut!

Facetime with Daddy while he's away on business

Drum roll please....WE WENT ON A DATE!

Before we left we got a little rain. It doesn't rain much so we jumped on the opportunity to pull out the rain boots and go puddle jumping.

On our trip to Utah we decided to break it up and spend a night in Vegas. The boys loved it. Mommy and Avi were exhausted and headed back to the hotel and Jude and Daddy went exploring. Jude loved our castle hotel but was a little disappointed when there wasn't a kid castle to play and climb on.

We finally arrived in Utah and it did not disappoint. There were cousins and mountains as far as the eye could see.

Grandma Pat was still off work recovering from knee surgery and she was very excited to spoil two already spoiled little boys. Among other things, she took them to build-a-bear and they both sleep with their bears every night.

Caught a cute moment of Grandma Pat reading to Jude

Not too shabby waking up to this view

Monterosa got their two honorary foremen back

Then we got some good cousin time in. We went to the pioneer Day parade. They had a lot of fun. Then we crashed the Murdock's house for the afternoon. It was so fun to see our families and as always it was hard to say goodbye.

Both Grandma's had sent to boys a surprise in the mail. Could they be any luckier. Gotta love Grandma's.

Our summer is flying by with activities like...

A little park action. (Jude inspecting a spider web. He loooves spiders)

Tons of bike rides

Eating outside

They live in the backyard

We forgot about the big surf competition that made our bike ride a little nuts but it was fun to check it all out. Jude is getting way too big for the bike seat but his control freak parents aren't ready to let him cruise on his own yet.

Waiting for Daddy to come home from LA on the train.
