August 2015

Letting go of those baby locks

We finally decided that Avi's hair was a little to unruly and as much as it killed me, we finally chopped it. Mostly it was the heat that pushed me over the edge and that it was ALWAYS in his eyes.

We thought we wouldn't go to Disney at all during the summer. But..... nothing can keep us away. He still went all summer long. Here are our Disney shots for the month. I love Daddy with his boys on the little kiddie rides.

These boys loooove animals. This is the mangiest little neighbor cat that Jude is obsessed with. Avi is usually asleep for out visits.  Jude will ride his bike around the block and stop for a visit then around again and again each time stopping to visit his friend.

A-hoy matey. Jude had to take a small break for costumes for a little while. they were really overwhelming him. But, I am happy to report that he is back at it and always in costume.

Beach days are one of my favorite ways to kill a day.

Avi hunting for a car

Jude trying to convince me that this is a perfect fit and doesn't need to be handed down to Avi just yet.

Avi cannot stand the shopping cart. Heaven help me.

We hit the OC fair and it was so fun. Jude loved the games and Avi looved the animals.

Avi getting a hair cut was a perfect occasion to get a mini mom and dad photo shoot.

After our frustrating attempt to get pictures we wondered up Del Mar and there was a festival going on that was really fun to check out.

Sometimes they find daddy at work and want to help.

Sundance got bit by an insect and her face swelled up and her ear drum ruptured. It was quiet the fiasco.

Little baby fireman

We ended the month with croup. Jude got it first and his turned to pneumonia and Avi got is second and his turned to bronchitis. It was so sad to see these to so sick.

Advil and Tylenol were miraculous in the beginning.

But it couldn't work forever.

Maybe we felt so bad we celebrated feeling good with a train table. They played with it for 4 hours straight when it was first set up. It was so nice for mommy! Jude got good use out of the box of course. It was his coffin. (He is still obviously obsessed with Halloween)

Jude talked Daddy into wearing his cowboy costume too.

Jude Earned a Park day.

Love his cowboy costume. I loved this little set up that he did with his things when he took it off.

Jude and I had a little date night and we got to go see his two babysitters/our neighbors in their play. Alice in wonderland. It blew his mind that one had the lead and the other was the cat.

Avi is pretty obsessed with Dogs. He follows Sundance around everywhere and rests his head on her back. He looooves her and all dogs. Maybe a little too much. He got bit by a neighbor dog this week. It almost pierced his little ear. I am glad he is still on antibiotics to keep it nice and clean. The doggy brought Jude and Avi a little gift to say sorry.

I LIVE for these precious moments between brothers. I love when I can catch them on camera too.

He also loves balls. He freaks out when we pass the ball cage thing full of balls at the store.

I signed Jude up for Karate. If it continues to go as well as it did on our first day, it may end up being his calling in life. He loved learning what to do to fight bad guys.

Forced me to let him try on this costume at H&M. It was actually really cute but I couldn't bring myself to buy it.

Cute girls help with separation anxiety. We went to Jude's meet and greet for preschool.

I just looooove a snoozing little guy.

Jude-isms

He asked for a "cooking bib" the other day to help make scrambled eggs.

We were watching Horton hears a who and there is a part where the Mayor is say goodnight to his 96 daughters and Jude asked me "Is that how many babies Grandma Pat had?" I almost died. It probably felt like that at times.

When he was sick he wanted to call and check in with his Grandmas. He was leaving a voicemail to Grandma Pat and in his sweet little sick voice said, "I hope you have a good feeling and I hope you're not sick...cause I sure am." I thought it was so cute and sweet.

Omg! You seriously have the cutest boys ever!!!! So handsome! You are stunning too!!! You are such a good mom to always go out and do fun things with them. I suck. We never go do anything fun cause I'm too lazy and hate the heat. Ha ha. So we have that same train table and it's still a hit a year and 9 months later! Best money ever spent! Ha ha!! Hope to see you soon!!!
