Christmas Vacation

Christmas on the Road
We packed up the boys and we headed for the snow and mountains of Utah. We were greeted with freshly fallen, pillow like snow. It looked like mother nature was creating a scene out of the dreams of Jack Frost. We were completely encircled by winter's beauty. And we had completely forgotten that such beauty comes at such a high cost. It was very cold. We dusted off our snow gear and we channeled our inner Utah Childhood spirit and we had the most amazing time.

Jude was insistent on wearing his elf costume. I didn't put up much of a fight because I thought it was so adorable.

This was the view of our Christmas cottage.

We had so much fun getting into the Christmas spirit in this beautiful place. Indoors and out.

These were the best of about 30 pictures I took. I was trying to get that perfect shot of my boys on Christmas Eve.

Christmas is always filled with Family and excitement. This year we started it at the Duncan's Draper home with all the cousins. We dove right into the gift exchange so we could have time to hit the McRae Christmas extravaganza before we had to get the boys in bed so Santa wouldn't pass us by.

The boys were exhausted and went right to sleep. Then we awoke to Christmas morning magic. Jude was very good to "Help" Avi open his presents.

Then Daddy spent the rest of the morning playing assembly man.

The rest of our time was spent enjoying family and the snowy mountains. We didn't take nearly enough pictures.

Avi managed to stay entertained on the flight home.

We got breakfast at The Grill New Year's Eve, then Marc had to do some work but later we went to Downtown Disney and had a fun dinner at the Rain Forrest Cafe.

We did a pretend New Year's countdown to let the kids feel like they were involved in the party. Jude was pretty into it. Avi thought we were weird and wanted to go to sleep.

That next morning we went for a Hike above Griffith Observatory. It was a refreshing way to kick off the new year.

A small wrestling match may have broke out between these brothers.

We had a great time kicking off the new year with our two favorite boys. We cannot wait to see what the rest of the year will bring.
