weight checks, and teething, and crying. Oh My!

Well, things have been going okay. Jude's weight is still a struggle. A week and a half ago he was wieighed by the Welcome Baby lady that comes to our house and he had jumped a whole pound. I was so thrilled. He had been eating good that week too, then the next week rolled around and he wouldn't touch a thing. Just screamed and screamed. Then on Memorial day a tooth showed it's ugly pearly head. I hope that's why he's not eating well and will return back to normal. When I took him in the last week he has almost lost that pound that he gained. So either the scale was wrong or he lost it all. The Doctor's office now suggest that I give up nursing cause he's obviously not getting enough and switch to formula to help get his weight up. They gave me some samples of formula and ran some tests on Jude to make sure he is hydrated. Which he was. But that poor kid had to get his blood drawn again. I felt so badly for him. Switching to formula has been a little bit of a challenge. Jude doesn't like the taste of it so we've been mixing it with some breast milk to help with the taste and slowly taking it out. It seems to be working. And we're trying all sorts of solids to try to help get his weight up and that has been a struggle. He won't touch them. Maybe when this tooth is all the way through he'll do better. We'll see. I am just trying to stay positive and not get too frustrated. Which is really hard. I just want to see him pig out. :) Anyway, thanks for checkin in.

Waiting for his bath.

Oh man... being a mamma is hard and frustrating. I'm sure everything will work out. I'll totally bet that pesky tooth has something to do with it. He'll get used to the formula hopefully soon. You guys do so many fun adventures. I love it!

Teething is a beast! Im sure that is why he's not digging the solids. Cody has been teething and won't touch anything also. This is just my opinion but I think your doctor needs to relax. Jude by no means looks starving. Him and Cody seem a lot alike eating wise. Are they just extra cautious becaus he is a premie? Or should I be stressing more! Haha! I just figure when he's hungry he'll eat. My doctor never seems concerned at all and he's been the same weight for a while. Man your doctor is stressing me out!

Ohhh he is sooooo cute Lins! I think he looks like a healthy weight! He is just too cute. I heard when they teeth it can be really painful to eat. I am jealous he has his tooth, bc Eke has been teething but noooooooooo tooth yet!!! I hope that his other teeth wont hurt him, like the first one did. Good for you for still nursing!!! Seriously that is awesome, I couldn't do it for very long. What formula have you given him so far? Eke only likes Good Start. Jude is sooooooo so so cute. I love his little face! It is hard when they are fussy, but you are doing a great job!!
